Program Improvement Plan
In 2018, we are piloting a free research-based program improvement model with 9 center-based preschools. The goal will help these centers move up to Level 3 in the State’s QRIS ladder within 2 years as the QRIS Validation Study shows improved children’s outcomes at this level. The graphic below, read from left to right, outlines the 6 components of our pilot.

Coaching and mentoring as well as QRIS support will be provided on-site. Community of Practice and QRIS Cohort meetings will be held off-site for designated staff from all pilot sites. Pilot staff will also attend QRIS professional development workshops that focus on understanding and using QRIS rating scales. Each pilot site will receive $9,500 to improve areas identified by the rating scales.
