New and *Approved*

New digital resources have recently been approved and added to the growing list available to support teaching and learning in Cambridge Public Schools. Take a peek at these, and the complete list, to see if there are any tools that could innovate instruction in your classroom, allow students to communicate and collaborate in new ways, or expand your curriculum. As always, please reach out to the Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) in your school for any support with digital resources.

Padlet - This digital bulletin board allows users to individually or collaboratively curate digital content with a simple click. Integration ideas include inspiration boards to launch a new topic, whole class responses to an inquiry question with supporting evidence, or student presentations on understanding as a culminating task.

Skybrary - Reading Rainbow and LeVar Burton are back with a digital version of the popular TV show that provides interactive digital books and engaging activities to promote a love for reading. Targeted more at the early elementary grades, this resource is a perfect match for the touch capability of the iPads as kids can experience a multimedia story at their fingertips.

EDpuzzle - Engage students to be active viewers of videos by using EDPuzzle to crop, insert questions, add your own voice-overs, and audio notes. Upload your own content, like videos of lessons for flipped classrooms, or pull from YouTube, Khan Acadmey, TED Talks, and more. Crop the video, if needed, and insert questions at strategic points in the video. Prevent students from skipping ahead and get reports on how students did answers the questions. This free tool integrates with our CPS Google accounts, as well as, Google Classroom.

Noodle Tools - Noodletools is a web-based research management tool that helps students evaluate, synthesize and cite resources; organize a research project; take notes; create outlines; collaborate with other students; and share their work with teachers. Noodletools replaces EasyBib. Please see your school librarian or library technology specialist for access information to create a CPS Noodletools account.
