Hi All CPS Staff,
This week's update will focus on virtual meeting best practices.
Although all students are in person the use of virtual meeting tools is not going away. Currently CPS still employs both Zoom & Google Meet for virtual meetings. Over time we expect to be migrating to mostly using Google Meet. Below are best practices related to privacy & security with virtual meetings regardless of the platform;
- All meetings are secured with a waiting room and/or password.
- Only known attendees are admitted into the meetings.
- Never publicly share a link to an upcoming meeting.
- When inviting the public, use a pre-registration process.
- Save any chat sessions, if chat is allowed at all.
- If recording a virtual session with students be sure that there are signed media releases on file for all student attendees.
