I am delighted to announce that we have selected individuals for three key district leadership positions following comprehensive search and interview processes:
- Dr. Lendozia Edwards, Chief of Academics and Schools
- Mr. Corey Dotson, Chief Talent Officer
- Dr. Barbara Mullen, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services

Dr. Victoria L. Greer
Superintendent
Chief of Academics and Schools: Dr. Lendozia Edwards
As Chief of Academics and Schools,
Dr. Lendozia Edwards will provide instructional leadership to ensure effective instruction and systematic improvement of practice in every CPS classroom and school. In this role, Dr. Edwards will oversee all academic service areas including curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, as well as the Offices of Elementary and Secondary Education and Office of Student Services. Dr. Edwards has over 15 years of K-12 administration experience with a strong focus on instructional leadership and strategic planning. Dr. Edwards is currently the Executive Director of School Support and Improvement for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, working to align district support and initiatives, monitor student performance data to inform instructional practices, and oversees all network initiatives with a focus on areas of disproportionality for students of color. Dr. Edwards has previously served as a principal supervisor, principal, assistant principal, and math teacher, as well as roles in higher education as a Campus Dean and Adjunct Professor of Mathematics. Dr. Edwards holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University, a combined M.S Degree in Human Resources and MBA in Business Administration from Strayer University and an Ed.D in Administration Supervision from Tennessee State University Nashville, TN.
Chief Talent Officer: Mr. Corey Dotson
As Chief Talent Officer,
Mr. Corey Dotson will lead the district's Human Resources Department with a focus on recruiting, retaining, and supporting top talent to join our district’s workforce. Mr. Dotson has extensive experience in Human Resources and a proven track record of success in K-12 Human Resource Management. Mr. Dotson is currently the Director of Talent Acquisition and Management of Licensed Staffing for Arlington Public Schools (VA), and has previously served in human capital roles in Baltimore County Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools, and Montgomery County Department of Recreation. Mr. Dotson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Southern University and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from the Catholic University of America.
Assistant Superintendent of Student Services: Dr. Barbara Mullen
As Assistant Superintendent of Student Services,
Dr. Mullen, who has served in an interim role since October 2021, will lead an expanded Office of Student Services in a permanent capacity. In this role, Dr. Mullen will provide oversight for services and initiatives related to special education, 504 accommodations, advanced learner programs, bilingual education/English learner services, multi-tiered systems of support, social emotional learning and restorative practices. Prior to her work in Cambridge, Dr. Mullen worked as the Chief of Equity and Responsibility for Providence Public Schools. Dr. Mullen has previously served in teaching, leadership, and consulting roles with the Center for Leadership and Educational Equity, Houston ISD, YES Prep Public Schools, Reasoning Mind, Bellevue College, and Chicago Public Schools. Dr. Mullen holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University, a Masters degree in Special Education & Inclusive Practices from Quincy University and a Doctorate in Special Education Administration & Leadership from Capella University.
