MLL Summer Enrichment Program
Our summer programs is a 4 week enrichment program that services multilingual students enrolled in CPS English Language Learners programs. Students qualify for our summer programs when they have beginning to developing English language proficiency [ELD 1-3.] and are entering the following grades: grades 1-12.
The ELL summer program's goals are to provide students with opportunities to:
- continue to develop English language skills while exploring diverse topics & themes
- gain and solidify knowledge & skills in math
- access to enrichment activities in the community with field trips and cultural experiences
- socialize with other multilingual learners with varied cultural backgrounds

MLL Afterschool Programs
CPS Multilingual students grades 1-8 enrolled in either SEI or ESL programs may qualify for an afterschool language development & academic support at 3 different CPS school sites: Graham Parks, Kennedy-Longfellow & Vassal Lane Upper School. Times and dates vary according to the school site. For more information contact your student's school teacher.
ENROOT Program
(Formerly known as the City Links Program of Cambridge Community Services)
Enroot Program is a partner program at CRLS & THE MLL Department. that provides immigrant youth the opportunity to achieve academic, career, and personal success through inspiring out-of-school experiences. For the past 26 years, Enroot has directed programming for low-income immigrant high school students, providing mentorship, leadership development, academic support, and workforce readiness programming. Summer Discovery
Free for Multilingual Language Learners entering grades 9-12 in the Cambridge Public Schools. Come get credits and get paid through the Mayor’s Summer Program! This is a 4-week summer program for Multilingual Language Learners (MLLs) entering grades 9-12 who will be taking the ACESS test and the MCAS within the next year or two.
The Summer Discovery Academy activities will help students improve their English and Math skills and MCAS scores. Classes will meet 5 times a week, but once a week, students will go on mandatory field trips to local colleges and historical places in the Cambridge and Boston areas. Students will be involved in cooperative learning and hands-on activities.
